## 1. Purpose and who they apply to

**1.1** These guidelines explain how partners, customers, contributors and others may refer to HeliosDB and use its names and logos (the "Marks"). They apply to partners under the trade-mark clause of their partner agreement, and to everyone else as the conditions on which HeliosDB permits use of its Marks.

**1.2** The Marks include the names HeliosDB, HeliosDB Nano, HeliosDB Lite, HeliosDB Full, HeliosProxy, HeliosCore and HeliosDB Cloud, the HeliosDB wordmark and the sun symbol, whether or not registered. Dimen Sigon OÜ owns the Marks and all goodwill in them.

**1.3** Software licences, including the Apache License 2.0 and the source-available licence of HeliosDB Lite and HeliosDB Full, do not grant trade-mark rights. These guidelines do.

## 2. Use that is always allowed

**2.1** Anyone may use the HeliosDB names in plain text, without logos, to make accurate, factual references, for example:

- "Runs on HeliosDB Lite";
- "Supports HeliosDB Full as a target database";
- "We provide migration services to HeliosDB";
- articles, reviews, tutorials and comparisons that describe HeliosDB accurately.

**2.2** The reference must be true, must not suggest sponsorship, endorsement, certification or partnership that does not exist, and must use the names as they are written in clause 1.2.

## 3. Use that needs a partner agreement or written permission

**3.1** The HeliosDB logo and sun symbol may be used only by partners with a signed partner agreement, while it is in force, or with written permission from HeliosDB.

**3.2** Partners may describe themselves as "HeliosDB Partner", or as a partner in their track (for example "HeliosDB Reseller Partner", "HeliosDB Hosting Partner" or "HeliosDB Technology Partner"), only while their agreement for that track is in force.

**3.3** "Certified" and the certification badge may be used only as allowed by the HeliosDB Integration Certification Criteria, for the certified versions only.

## 4. What is never allowed

**4.1** Nobody may:

- (a) use a Mark, or anything confusingly similar, in the name of a company, product, service, domain, application, repository or social-media account (for example "HeliosDB Hosting Ltd", "heliosdb-cloud.example" or "@HeliosDBSupport");
- (b) register or apply to register a Mark, or anything confusingly similar, as a trade mark, company name or domain name;
- (c) modify, animate, distort, recolour, abbreviate or combine a Mark with other marks, or use parts of it;
- (d) state or imply that HeliosDB endorses, certifies, supports or guarantees a product or service unless HeliosDB has said so in writing;
- (e) use a Mark in a way that is misleading, disparaging or unlawful, or in connection with content that infringes others' rights;
- (f) describe HeliosDB capabilities, compatibility, performance or availability beyond what HeliosDB publishes, including engine or driver counts that the Release and Capability Matrix does not support.

## 5. Writing the names

**5.1** Write "HeliosDB" as one word with capital H and capital DB. Write product names in full the first time they appear: HeliosDB Nano, HeliosDB Lite, HeliosDB Full, HeliosProxy, HeliosCore, HeliosDB Cloud. Use the names as adjectives or proper nouns, not as verbs or plurals.

**5.2** Where you describe your own product together with HeliosDB, your own name must be more prominent than the HeliosDB Mark.

**5.3** Include this notice where practical: "HeliosDB and the HeliosDB logo are trade marks of Dimen Sigon OÜ."

## 6. Logo use

**6.1** Use only logo files supplied by HeliosDB (in the Partner Portal where available, or on request at partners@heliosdb.com), unchanged. Replace them when HeliosDB supplies new versions.

**6.2** Keep clear space around the logo at least equal to the height of the sun symbol, and do not place it on busy backgrounds that reduce its legibility.

**6.3** The HeliosDB wordmark sets "Helios" in the text colour and "DB" in the accent colour. The brand colours are black (#000000) as the main background, purple (#9E8CFC), light blue (#8AE8FF) and lime (#C4F042) as accents. The brand typefaces are Inter for text and JetBrains Mono for code.

**6.4** If you cannot reproduce the colours, use the logo in solid white on a dark background or solid black on a light background.

## 7. Partner and co-branded materials

**7.1** Materials generated with the Partner Portal's tools may be used as generated. Other co-branded materials that use the HeliosDB logo, including edited versions of generated materials, must be sent to HeliosDB before first publication; HeliosDB answers within 10 business days and does not refuse unreasonably.

**7.2** Sponsored or affiliate content must disclose the relationship clearly, as the partner agreement requires.

**7.3** Performance or benchmark claims about HeliosDB products need HeliosDB's prior written approval.

## 8. Ending use

**8.1** HeliosDB may ask you to correct or stop a use that does not follow these guidelines. Partners have ten business days to do so. When a partner agreement ends, the partner stops using the logo and partner designations within 30 days, except in factual and historical references.

## 9. Questions and changes

**9.1** Questions and permission requests: partners@heliosdb.com. HeliosDB may publish new versions of these guidelines with at least 30 days' notice to partners. Every version is published at the address at the top with its version, effective date, change log and SHA-256 fingerprint.
